What the FAQ?!
What will the weather be like?
There’s lots of sunshine, coming your way. March is Koh Samui’s sunniest month – and one of the driest. With an average of just four rainy days per month, the average temperature this time of year is 28 degrees celsius.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Semi formal. We have created a wedding outfit inspo board to give you some ideas. Check it out here.
Can we wear shorts and/or t-shirts?
We kindly ask guests to dress a bit more on the polished side. Think smart casual or dressy summer attire. Leave the shorts and tees for the beach, also no flip flops. Let’s keep it classy (but comfy)!
Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?
The ceremony and celebrations will be held outdoors, so get ready to soak up some sunshine! That said, the venue does offer shaded areas if you need a break from the sun or want to cool off for a bit—comfort is key!
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
If you’re staying at one of the hotels we’ve recommended, you’re in luck—they’re all just a short 5–15 minute walk from the venue! If you’re staying elsewhere, no worries—Grab (think Uber) and local taxis are easy to use and readily available.
What time should I arrive?
A full schedule will be provided closer to the wedding. We’ll keep you updated!
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to guest limits at our venue, we kindly ask that you reach out to us directly regarding a plus one. We truly wish we could invite everyone, and we apologise in advance if we’re unable to accommodate—thank you for understanding!
Do I need a visa to enter Thailand?
For most nationalities, including Australian, British, and US passport holders, you can obtain a visa on arrival at the airport. However, we strongly recommend checking the latest entry requirements online before your departure to ensure a smooth arrival.
Will I need to submit any legal documents before entering Thailand?
Effective May 1, 2025:
- All foreign nationals must complete the TDAC online before entering Thailand.
- The requirement applies to tourists, business travelers, long-term visa holders, and anyone entering under visa exemption or visa on arrival.
- The TDAC must be submitted within 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival.

Travelers must complete the TDAC through the Thailand Immigration Bureau’s official portal:

How do I get from the airport to the venue?
You have a few options! You can arrange a private airport pickup, or you can easily grab a ride with Grab (think Uber) to your accommodation. Also, check with your hotel—some offer airport pickup services.
Is there a welcome dinner?
Yes! We’re organising a welcome dinner on March 26th, 2026. If you’re in town, we’d love for you to join us and kick off the celebrations!
Is there a gift registry?
Your presence at our wedding is truly the best gift we could ask for, and we’re genuinely grateful to have you celebrate with us. That said, if you feel inclined to give something more, we will have a wishing well available at the wedding. Any contribution you choose to make toward this exciting new chapter in our lives would be received with heartfelt appreciation.
What currency is used locally?
The currency is Thai Baht.
Should we bring cash or use cards?
Thailand has a broad payment ecosystem. However, we will be on an island and things may not be as modernize as Bangkok. While hotels and high end restaurants do accept card payments, cash is always preferred elsewhere. We strongly recommend bringing cash!
Who should I contact if I have more questions?
If you have any questions or need more details, feel free to reach out to us directly or get in touch with a member of the bridal party—we’re happy to help!
Can I drink the tap water in Thailand?
Absolutely not. Please stick to bottled water throughout your stay to be safe—your stomach will thank you later!
Are there any cultural customs I should be aware of?
Yes, Thailand is known as the “Land of Smiles,” and politeness is deeply valued in everyday life. A respectful attitude goes a long way—locals will treat you kindly if you show the same in return.
With love,
Chris & Yalee
